Stanley “Artgerm” Lau

Stanley "Artgerm" Lau was born in Hong Kong and moved to Singapore at 17, which is where he discovered Western comics. He trained in graphic design and is mostly self-taught as an illustrator.

He built an early following on DeviantArt and co-founded the digital art studio Imaginary Friends Studios. He has now been in the industry for close to two decades.

His covers for DC and Marvel, along with work like Street Fighter's Chun-Li for Capcom, mix Western comics with anime and manga influences. He's especially known for strong female characters.
